Our Client is seeking to recruit an experienced professional and an enthusiastic a General Manager to manage a newly built, ultra -modern Chicken Processing Facility at Dormaa Akwamu off Asuotiano Dormaa Akwamu Road in the Dormaa East District of the Brong Ahafo Region

 

GENERAL MANAGER

The Role

To oversee all aspects of the business to ensure smooth operations and profitability.

Qualifications

At least a Degree in relevant studies
Master degree is a plus
At least 5 years’ experience in a chicken processing facility
Adequate knowledge of the industry
Outstanding leadership qualities
Accomodation available

 

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve company goals and objectives. This involves analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities and formulating business strategies to maintain competitive edge in the industry.

Operations Management: Oversees all aspects of chicken processing operations including Slaughtering, Processing, Packaging and Distribution.

Financial Management: Manage the financial performance of the factory by setting & monitoring budgets, analyzing financial statements, implementing cost-cutting strategies to optimize revenue realization and financial planning.

Staff Leadership & Development: Providing leadership and direction to the factory workforce including departmental managers, supervisors and production staff.

Quality Assurance, Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all Food and Drugs Authority standards, food safety regulation and standards governing chicken processing operations in Ghana.

Supply Chain Management: Manage the supply chain to ensure a steady flow of raw materials and packaging materials for production.

Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders in the chicken processing industry.

Crisis Management: Handle unexpected events or crisis that may arise such as equipment failures, supply chain disruptions or food safety issues.
